Ticket Policies
In Person Performance Single Ticket Policy
- Single ticket sales are final and cannot be refunded.
- Single ticket sales are subject to seating availability.
- Single tickets are subject to a Customer Service Fee.
- Online tickets must be printed at home, or can be displayed on a mobile device.
- Single tickets are eligible for exchange with certain restrictions. See the exchange policy for details.
Promotional Rate Tickets/Coupon Codes
- Promotional Rate Tickets are available on a limited basis and not eligible for refunds, or exchanges.
- Promotional Rates cannot be applied to previous purchases
Subscriber Package General Policy
- All Subscriber Package sales are final and there are no exchanges between packages.
- Patrons use their specific number of designated redemptions towards one show, or multiple shows of their choice.
- Patron is responsible for the timely redemption of their package and preferred seating.
- All redemptions are subject to seating availability and are determined on a first come/first served basis.
- In the event a performance sells out, or seats become unavailable there will be no refunds for unused redemptions.
- All Packages expire at the end of the current season.
- All Packages are subject to a Customer Service Fee.
Ticket Delivery Methods
- E-Ticket / Print at Home
- Free
- Patrons immediately get their ticket delivered via email after purchase.
- Patrons can print the ticket at home or show the ticket on a mobile device.
- Printed Tickets
- $1.50 Fee
- Printed by Ticket Office
- Purchases made 14 days before the event will be mailed to Patron’s address
- Purchases made within 14 days of the performance must be picked up at 315 Fisher Road
- Tickets will not be available for pickup at the venue box office.
Standard Virtual Performance Ticket Policy
- All ticket sales are final. There are no refunds or exchanges.
- Grosse Pointe Theatre will not refund, or provide patron credit, if you do not access the Virtual Event, or are unable to access the Virtual Event due to technical difficulties outside the control of GPT.
- In the event of a Virtual Performance cancellation by Grosse Pointe Theatre patrons will be given an option of a refund or a donation.
- By attending the Virtual Performance you agree that you may not save, record, share or post this session or any photos from this performance without prior permission.
Exchange Policy
Single Ticket Exchanges
- Single ticket exchanges are $2 per ticket.
- Tickets can only be exchanged by calling the ticket office during operating hours up to 72 hours BEFORE the performance.
- Single Tickets can only be exchanged for another performance of the same show.
- Wednesday and Thursday tickets can only be exchanged for a Wednesday or Thursday performance of the same show.
- Friday, Saturday, and Sunday tickets can be exchanged for any performance of the same show, with no adjustment in original purchase price.
- Exchanges are subject to seating availability.
- Exchanges cannot be processed at the Lobby Box Office.
Subscriber Ticket Exchanges
- Tickets can be exchanged up to 72 hours BEFORE the performance with prior notification.
- All exchange requests must be made by emailing [email protected], or by calling the ticket office at (313) 881 – 4004.
- Midweek Full Flex tickets can only be exchanged for other Wednesday, or Thursday performances of any Mainstage series.
- Full Flex, or Mini Flex tickets can be exchanged for any performance date of any Mainstage series, with no price adjustments.
- You must supply your preferred date and time when requesting an exchange.
- Exchanges are subject to seating availability.
- Exchanges cannot be processed at the Lobby Box Office.
Group Discounts
- Group Ticket Discounts are available for Friday, Saturday or Sunday performances with a purchase of 10 or more tickets to the same performance (same date and same time) and must be purchased through the group sales links.
- Group Discount is $5 per ticket, for a minimum savings of $50.
- Group Tickets are not refundable, or exchangeable.
- Please note that we are unable to apply a discount to tickets bought through the single ticket links.
Youth On Stage, and Education Program Policies
YOS Classes, Camps, and other Workshops In Person
- Program Enrollment is subject to a non-refundable $15 registration fee.
- Your signature on the enrollment form and/or your acknowledgment on the online registration form does the following:
- Acknowledges you have been notified of, have read and understand the cancellation policy
- Acknowledges you have been notified of, have read and understand the GPT YOS Photo release policy and that it gives permission to use your child’s Youth on Stage photographs and video recordings for marketing and public relations purposes.
Cancellation – In Person Programs
- Program tuition is only refundable if you cancel by 5pm 7 full days (1 week) before the first day of the program.
- Cancellation deadlines are stated in Program Confirmation Emails.
- To request a refund you must email [email protected], or call the Ticket Office at (313) 881 – 4004
- Once the program has started NO refunds will be given.
- All Refunds are subject to a $25 Cancellation Fee.
- The $15 Registration Fee is non-refundable.
- Program enrollment tuition cannot be transferred to another YOS session.
- Tuition is not refundable due to absences.
Virtual Youth on Stage/Workshop/Programs
- By attending and participating in remote learning, you agree that you may not save, record, share or post this session or any photos from this session without prior permission.
- Grosse Pointe Theatre Staff/Members/Educators will not save, record, share or post this session or any photos from this session without prior permission
- Attendees must treat each other with respect during virtual class participation and agree to the YOS Code of Conduct
Cancellation – Virtual Programs
- All Workshop/Class session sales are final. There are NO REFUNDS.
- Grosse Pointe Theatre will not refund, or provide patron credit, if you do not access the Virtual Session, or are unable to access the Virtual Session due to technical difficulties outside the control of GPT.
- There are no exchanges for Virtual Sessions
Fundraising Policies
General Donations
- Grosse Pointe Theatre, Inc. is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization, Federal Tax ID is 38-1794060.
- Donations are non-refundable.
- Donors are not permitted to impose restrictions on the use of Donations by Grosse Pointe Theatre. To the extent that a Donation is made in response to an appeal for a particular program of Grosse Pointe Theatre or to the extent that a Donor purports to direct the use of Donations by Grosse Pointe Theatre, any such directions shall constitute non-binding recommendations only and Grosse Pointe Theatre will direct donations to general operations.
- Gifts in kind shall be accepted on a case by case basis. Grosse Pointe Theatre reserves the right to use these gifts as deemed appropriate to maximize the benefit to the organization.
- Grosse Pointe Theatre reserves the right to refuse any monetary gift, gift in kind or restricted gift.
- Donation Receipt(s) will be automatically emailed to the donor, and is available online in the patron portal.
Donation Benefit Tiers
- All Donation Tier benefits are provided are subject to the following policies:
- All unclaimed Donation Tier Benefits expire at the end of Grosse Pointe Theatre’s fiscal year ending June 30.
- Virtual Performances: Grosse Pointe Theatre will not refund, or provide patron credit, if you do not access the Virtual Event, or are unable to access the Virtual Event due to technical difficulties outside the control of GPT.
- Live Performance Tickets, Memberships, and Products: Grosse Pointe Theatre will not refund, or provide patron credit, to any unclaimed or expired benefit.
- Total Tax Deductible amount and FMV (Fair Market Value) disclosures will be included in the Donation Receipt that is emailed to the donor and is available online in the patron portal.
Restricted Campaign Donations
- GPT will periodically create/establish specific purpose donation campaigns.
- Donors can direct monetary gifts to these specific (restricted) purpose campaigns, and GPT will segregate these funds.
- Restricted donor gifts are segregated as directed by the donor and then paid according to the restriction.
Misc. Policies
Patron Credit Voucher Policy
- Patron Credit is not available.
Membership Policy
- Membership is limited to adults 18+ and subject to a background check.
- Membership purchases are non refundable, however in the event of a negative background check the applicant will be notified and membership fees, if applicable, will be refunded.
- Membership provided by YOS Parent Production Class registration has no monetary value, is one per family/household for the season, and cannot be applied to a previous purchase of membership.
- All Membership (paid, complimentary, or otherwise provided) terms are limited to the fiscal year that it was purchased, or processed.
- Membership Benefits have no cash value.
- All unclaimed Membership Benefits expire at the end of Grosse Pointe Theatre’s fiscal year ending June 30.
Media Policy
When you attend or register for a Grosse Pointe Theatre event, class or program, you enter a situation where photography, audio, and video recording may occur. By entering the premises, you consent to interview(s), photography, audio recording, video recording and its/their release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction to be used for news, promotional purposes, advertising, inclusion on websites, social media, or any other purpose by Grosse Pointe Theatre and its affiliates and representatives. Images, photos and/or videos may be used to promote Grosse Pointe Theatre in the future. You release Grosse Pointe Theatre, its officers, employees, and each and all persons involved from any liability connected with the taking, recording, digitizing, or publication and use of interviews, photographs, computer images, video, and/or sound recordings. You also waive all rights you may have to any claims for payment or royalties in connection with any use, and waive the right to inspect or approve such media use.
You have been fully informed of your consent, waiver of liability, and release before entering the premises of the class, rehearsal, camp or ticketed event.
